SHANDONG SHENGQUAN CHEMICAL CO.,LTD. was formed in 1997 as a Sino – UK joint venture between Hepworth Minerals and Chemicals Ltd and Jinan Shengquan Group Shareholding Co Ltd, China’s leading foundry consumables supplier, and has become the leading phenolic resin producer in China. With an initial investment of 5 million US dollars, SQH now has fixed assets of 270 million RMB, and has 430 employees, among which over 60% are university graduates.
SQH was the first phenolic resin producer in China to introduce international standard manufacturing equipment, process controls, and management techniques. We are dedicated to the development, manufacture, and sales of phenolic resin used in various markets, including foundry, refractory, coated abrasive, friction, construction material, surface coating, engineering material, etc. These markets include industries, such as automotive, steel, aerospace, oil, military, mechanical process, electronic, electric appliances etc.
Current production capacity is 65,000Te/a, and we manufacture a full range of phenolic resins which can satisfy the wide-ranging requirements for both domestic and export markets, including water or alcohol borne resoles, and novolacs in flake, powder, or pastille forms. Resins are available with diverse molecular weights and molecular weight distributions. We currently have around 800 grades of resin, some of these originated in the UK, but most have been developed at our well equipped R&D facility in Jinan. This, together with ISO9001 and ISO14001 accreditation, ensures the consistency and high performance of SQH’s products.
Following the rapid development of the company, a further two production plants in Yingkou and Jinan have been established. Through cooperation with prominent companies in UK, Japan, Korea, USA, etc., we have brought in additional advanced technologies and management concepts. These have been fully integrated into our systems, ensuring that our products continue to meet international quality standards.
While serving primarily the Chinese market, we also export to various countries, such as, Japan, Korea, India, Egypt, Pakistan, Colombia, Russia, Australia, Thailand, VietNam,etc.
